At Healthy Pets, we are reinventing the way pet parents access and receive veterinary care. We seek to simplify pet parenthood through online veterinary consultations, connecting local veterinarians with pet parents on demand through video and text based chat.

For a fraction of the cost of traditional in-clinic service, pet owners can now source reliable pet health and wellness information and care right from the comfort of home. Veterinarians are able to better serve current clientele, reach new clientele, and work wherever and whenever they please through our digital platform.

About MaRS Embedded Executive Funding
This position is funded by the MaRS Embedded Executive Program.

About the funding:

Embedded Executive Funding helps place a C-level or other senior-level executive with an Ontario-based technology venture to support achieving their next growth milestone. This program is best suited for novel Ontario-based tech ventures in a later discovery stage or approaching validation and efficiency stage of development. Embedded Executive is funded through the Business Acceleration Program (BAP) to support entrepreneurs of the ONE network. BAP is funded by the Government of Ontario, and delivered and managed by MaRS.

About The Role
We are looking for a senior marketer to join the team! As per the MaRS Embedded Executive guideline, this is a 6 month contract position with possibility for extension.

The Senior Marketer will be critical to the success of Healthy Pets’ marketing efforts. Although B2C marketing is priority at this time, B2B initiatives are also relevant (see below). The successful candidate will support the strategic development and execution of all marketing initiatives and campaigns, including, but not limited to:

  • • SEO and content development
  • • SEM and paid ad development
  • • User-generated referral campaign
  • • B2B partnership pipeline development

SEO and content development
The successful candidate should understand how to most effectively develop high-performing SEO through content development, keyword research, etc. He/ she should have experience guiding, testing, analyzing and optimizing website traffic. Experience executing relevant strategies is required.

SEM and paid ad development
The successful candidate should understand how to effectively develop and manage paid ad campaigns, as well as measure live campaigns against KPIs.

Referral campaign
The successful candidate should have experience developing a B2C referral campaign, designed to generate product awareness amongst the targeted user base.

B2B partnerships
The successful candidate should understand how to identify suitable B2B partnership opportunities, develop strategic proposals and manage executive stakeholder relationships.

Healthy Pets is currently a team of six full time individuals, with five working together out of the NEXT Canada coworking environment in Yorkville.
